  • General aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and fabrication, working under licensed A&P mechanic.

  • Machinist/fabricator — building tooling and fixtures for commuter airline maintenance department
Wings West Airlines San Luis Obispo, California 1985-1987
  • Performed CNC machining of plastic injection molds.
  • Developed digitizing and copy-milling system for accurate reproduction of aluminum mold cavities from cast urethane models of boat propeller blades.
Piranha Propellers San Luis Obispo, California 1988-1990
  • Managed AutoCAD document creation and management for 4-man drafting department, producing approximately 1,000 D-size drawing sheets per year.
  • Managed workstation configuration and defined drafting standards and formats, so that documentation was uniform and consistent.
  • Performed engineering "take-offs" of customer-supplied architectural drawing packages to determine scope of work.
  • Designed electrical and mechanical 240VAC, 400AMP distribution panels and enclosure for theater lighting system.

  • Managed 6-man tool room for plastic injection molding operation.

Started my own business with partner Tom Weltner doing mold-making, product design and development.

  • Design and initial mold tooling development of the EggLite product.
  • Design and fabrication of aluminum die-cast tooling for the now-ubiquitous Lemon and Lime squeezer for Utensils of Mexico.
